The Sharon Academy

With the completion of one year of biology at The Sharon Academy, a student will possess many skills, including: how to use the scientific method to answer a question, how to use a compound microscope, how to prepare a slide, how to collect data, how to place data into useful tables and use this data to produce graphs. The student will understand how biological systems influence humans and the world in which they live. Specific topics include: the chemistry of life, cells, classification, viruses and monerans, protests, fungi, plants, simple and complex animals, body systems – maintaining and controlling life, genetic, evolution and ecology.
